Empowering Through Education & Upliftment
Coming from a landless family in Hardoi, Ravindra Kumar moved to Lucknow and worked as a cloth hawker (kapde ki pheri) to support his family. Understanding the struggle, his mission began simply by trying to secure admissions for his own two children under the RTE Act 2009.
When he saw the systemic difficulties faced by poor parents, he formed the 'Abhibhavak Manch'. What started with getting 12 children admitted turned into a movement that has now successfully secured over 796 RTE admissions for underprivileged children in private schools.
Guided by fellowships and the mentorship of Padma Shri Phoolbasan Yadav ji (Chhattisgarh) and Padma Shri Dr. Kshama Metre ji (Himachal), he learned to form Women's Self-Help Groups. Driven by the resolve that no child remains uneducated, he registered the Human Enlightenment Trust in September 2021 to provide free education in the very slums he grew up working in.

Providing 2 hours of daily free, quality education to 85 children in slum communities. Run by 4 dedicated teachers, we offer academic support and life skills to prevent dropouts.

We have successfully formed 10 Self Help Groups (SHGs) involving 117 women. They have saved ₹20,000 - ₹25,000, promoting financial independence and awareness of their rights.

Through our 'Abhibhavak Manch', we filled 1,645 applications and successfully facilitated admissions for 796 underprivileged children in private schools under Section 12(1)(c) of the RTE Act 2009.
